CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VINEYARD

The site is located next to the Anoia River, in the municipality of Subirats. It is a calcareous soil containing a large amount of river pebbles and clay. It is located at the foot of the coastal range, a fact which protects it from the humid sea breeze. The vineyard is open to the influence of dry winds from the interior.

HARVEST

The 2014 harvest began with heavy rains in November followed by a very mild, dry winter. Budding started a few days earlier compared to previous years and at the beginning 60 litres fell which helped the growth of the plant. Spring was very mild, especially during the day and rather dry. Only at the end of May was there a series of consecutive rains. During June temperatures rose considerably with high humidity. The rest of the summer continued with moderate daytime temperatures and average minimums with some isolated showers. The harvest started a little later than usual with less quantity than the preceding crop production.

TASTING NOTE

Pink middle layer. Cava with high intensity with elegant notes of red fruits such as currants and strawberries with a refreshing mineral aftertaste. The palate is delicate with an average intensity and elegance and finesse that perfectly expresses the ground it came from.

PRODUCTION

Maceration press at low temperature to extract maximum colour and personality of the grape. Static racking 24 hours and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16 ° C. Aging in stacks for about 20 months.
