Bodegas Sumarroca achieved a significant success at the CSWWC 2024. The prestigious competition awarded two gold medals to its cavas – Sumarroca Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2020 and Sumarroca Brut Reserva Rosé 2021, in this edition.

The CSWWC is the only international competition exclusively dedicated to sparkling wines, judged by specialists in this type of wine. Founded to highlight the exceptional quality and versatility of sparkling wines as gastronomic wines par excellence, the CSWWC targets the new generation of consumers who enjoy sparkling wine on any occasion and value its ability to pair with a wide variety of dishes.

Varieties: Xarel·lo, Macabeu, and Parellada
Tasting notes: Pale yellow color. Fresh aroma with great complexity, blending pastry notes from the cava’s aging with light hints of fresh fruit from the base wine. On the palate, it’s fresh, smooth, with a very fine bubble that perfectly integrates into the cava’s complexity. Elegant, serious, long, and dry finish, expressing the cava’s authenticity.

Sumarroca Brut Reserva Rosé 2021
Varieties: Pinot Noir and Macabeu
Tasting notes: Medium-intensity pink color. Sparkling wine with high intensity, featuring elegant red fruit notes of strawberries combined with floral hints. On the palate, it is fruity and creamy, with a delicate finish.
