Sumarroca has been awarded the BIOSPHERE Sustainable Tourism certificate for its constant commitment to social, economic and environmental sustainability. The winery is also committed to continuous improvement towards a non-aggressive tourism model that can, at the same time, meet the current visitor needs without compromising future generations.

Sustainable tourism is a priority for Biosphere and Sumarroca designs authentic local proposals and offers local products to ensure a positive socio-economic impact.

The Biosphere certificate is awarded by the Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI), which was created following the World Conference on Sustainable Tourism (1995) with the sponsorship of UNESCO, the WTO, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the EU.
