Nesting house for bats
Sumarroca has adapted a former shepherd’s house to encourage the repopulation of bat species that have been in danger of extinction in recent years. Bats are nocturnal insect-eating mammals that play an important role in fighting pests, something which is particularly important on our 100% organic farm.
The house serves as a shelter for the bats and has been furnished with cloth sacks and other materials to provide them with the best possible roosting opportunities.
