The winery takes advantage of the launch of the new Brut Reserva Ecológico to renew the whole image of the cavas
In 2020, Sumarroca launches organic Brut Reserva and Brut Rosé cavas and renews the image of its line of cavas, highlighting the principles of ecology and sustainability. After starting the process of reconversion to 100% ecological and sustainable agriculture in 2013, the cavas have reached their point of aging and are ready to be tasted. In 2018, the winery launched CCPAE-certified young wines.
Sumarroca has been working for years with the aim of transforming all its lines of work into a sustainable and ecological model with great emphasis on caring for the environment and the biodiversity of the Finca. The family owns about 400 hectares of land in the Penedès, with an ecosystem that combines vineyards and biodiversity, where, among other things, there are many endangered bird species that nest in the area.
The new Sumarroca cavas are the result of this environmental awareness and commitment that make Sumarroca one of the most important organic producers in the Penedès. With an elegant, sophisticated and sober design, and delicate finishes, both in presentation and texture, the label of the new cavas also takes us back to the origins of the paper mill that existed centuries ago in the winery of Molí Coloma, home of Sumarroca. It is a tribute to the paper culture rooted in our territory.
Sumarroca’s purpose is to continue participating together with the collaborators and friends of the winery to develop and disseminate all these projects that group the values of sustainability and territory.
